Výzkum v povodí jezer Šumavy

Pracoviště IDS dlouhodobě spolupracuje s Hydrobiologickým ústavem Biologického centra AV ČR v Českých Budějovicích na řešení problematiky dynamiky a fungování ekosystémů v povodí ledovcových jezer na Šumavě. V období 2007-2011 tak byla spolupráce realizována v rámci úkolu Limitující faktory a omezení biologického zotavování z acidifikace: Jaká je budoucnost horských ekosystémů Šumavy? (projekt GA ČR 206/07/1200), na který navazuje projekt Vliv přirozeného rozpadu horských smrkových porostů na mikroklima, chemismus a biodiversitu terestrických a vodních ekosystémů (projekt GA ČR P504/12/1218). Stručný přehled výsledků z povodí Plešného jezera podává Kopáček et al (2000).V rámci této spolupráce byla vypracována řada publikací.
